Issues

Robert approaches all issues with the intent of finding common ground. He knows we are more alike than different and would never exploit those minor differences to push a personal agenda. He likens his way of thinking to a three legged stool - because three legged stools remain sturdy on any surface, and the best surface is common ground.

The Three Legged Stool

Robert envisions school as a stool with 3 legs - each is essential, each is required for balance and support. In school the legs are: students, families and school staff.

Students

- are engaged and curious learners, the leg upon which the work is focused.

Parents

- are supporting and nurturing, the leg that is an essential bridge between the home and school environment.

School staff

- are guides, critical friends, coaches. The leg that works with the other two to create the learning environment.

COMMON GROUND

Robert believes in the common ground that exists between all 3 of these stakeholders. That ground is the learning of each individual student. Surely we can agree on that.

As specific issues are brought up during the campaign we will posting Robert's stance here. Thanks for your interest and support.
